Playtime

Adults often think that children play to have fun, to give us time to ourselves.  But the truth is very different.  Children play not only for fun or to give us time to ourselves but as a way of learning about the world they live in and how to become a part of it.

By playing they develop their physical aptitudes, their emotional intelligence, their creativity, their imagination and intellectual capacity and their social abilities.  And of course, at the same time, they have fun and pass the time.

Small mammals play a lot when they are growing and in this fashion learn all the abilities they need as adults in a gratifying way.  The more intelligent the species, the more important the time dedicated to playing in this manner, that’s why small humans – if they are allowed to – spend so much time playing!

Marie-Helene, who studied Childhood Education, is responsible for the Playgroup, which is based on the “Playgroup” concept popular in Scandinavia, Germany and the UK. Children in Minibiza play freely, whilst being encouraged to develop their relationship skills and conflict resolution abilities. We help them develop a healthy self-esteem, without anticipating or correcting them constantly, favouring the expression of emotions and creating a relaxed atmosphere with only a few but clear boundaries established in a respectful manner. All this is undertaken by qualified staff. For any further information, please contact us.
